Wwise – WaveWorks Interactive Sound Engine

I’m currently training and doing several projects in the interactive sound engine WWise under VFS Instructors Jonathan Fish and Gary Bourgeois. Some of the topics we are discussing are based in aesthetics and technical design:
– “The nature of audio unpredictability and design considerations to accommodate a lack of Precognition”
– Using sounds and motions to enhance gameplay
– Defining object playback behaviors
– Sequenced Events
– Switch Groups & containers
– Play trigger events and Soundcaster sessions

Jonathan Fish is a Lead Audio Designer at Electronic Arts and has been going through some of the Audio Implementation software being used in the Industry. We recently went through the following article:
Audio Implementation Greats #2: Audio Toolsets

Gary Bourgeois is a full time instructor at VFS and Owner/Complexity Engineer at Condition30:

I’m excited about Wwise as a tool for all types of Game Design and Instructional Media. I’ll keep everyone posted on my work within Wwise…
